Jewel of Sol (dverse Quadrille)

Is this earth? This dirt that sifts past parted fingers

Though above my head, I see a twinkle of home

No, this wretched planet fit to hold fools

May bear fruit, but to dignify such soil

In Earth’s name shames the glimmering light above

Saw this Quadrille prompt by dverse going, and I figured I would give it a shot. I do like a little bit of direction every now and then. Link to the original post here

  1. Thank you for quadrilling with us, Samuel, and for sharing your ‘twinkle of home’. You certainly drew me in with the opening question and I love the juxtaposition of the ‘wretched planet fit to hold fools’ and ‘the glimmering light above’.
